The Nigerian Military application opens in a certain period every year, and DO NOT accept applications from other countries if not Nigeria.
The Nigerian Armed Forces (NAF) are the military forces of Nigeria. The forces consist of three service branches: the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Navy, and the Nigerian Air Force.
Every branch of the military has its standards for enlisting.

Requirements to Join the Nigerian Armed Forces
Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth and possess:
- MUST be a Nigerian
- Can Speak, read, and write fluently
- No criminal convictions
Age and Height Requirement
- Male – 1.68 metres
- Female – 1.65 metres
Each branch of the military has age limits to enlist in active duty:
- Non-Tradesmen/Women: 18-22 years old.
- Tradesmen/Women: 18-26 years old.
Fitness Test
You will have to pass a medical, physical, and psychological fitness test. The exam will assess if you are healthy enough to serve in the military.
Required Documents
- Valid birth certificate/age declaration
- Certificate of state of origin
- National Identity Card/NIN or BVN.
- Minimum of four passes in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB
- Trade Test/City Guild Certificate for tradesmen/women

- Visit the Nigerian Army Recruitment Portal – http://recruitment.army.mil.ng/
- Create an account and Log in with your credentials.
- Fill information and apply.
- Print your application form and the Guarantor’s form.
- Sign the printed forms.
- Take them to your state’s designated recruitment centre.
- Visit the Nigerian Navy Recruitment Portal – https://joinnigeriannavy.com/
- Create an account and Log in with your credentials.
- Fill information and apply.

How to Apply to The Nigerian Air Force
- Visit the Nigerian Air Force Recruitment Portal – https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng/
- Select the poster suitable to you and then start the application
- Read out all instructions, tick the box to show that you are aware of all of the information involved in the application process, and click on ‘continue’.
- Provide your National Identification Number and other required information
- Submit the Form.
- Take note of your Application Number.
- Print the Application Summary Page.
- Your phone number and email are required for this application.
- Download and Print Acknowledgement Cards and Attestation Cards using your Email Address and Password to log in.
- Complete your application and wait for notifications to report for training.
NOTE: All interested applicants can only submit one application. Any applicant who submits more than one application will be automatically disqualified.
