If you want your matric result to be remarked on or rechecked, please note the following;
- ✓ Yes! candidate must apply for re-marking or re-checking of results.
- ✓ Yes! there are extra fees for the re-mark/re-check of exam scripts.
- ✓ All instructions appear on the reverse side of the Statement of Results.
The closing date for applications is 31 January 2025 for both manual applications and online applications.

What Are the Fees for Re-Marking and Re-Checking per Subject?
A candidate may apply at the prescribed fee for the re-mark/re-check of his/her examination scripts at the cost of R116.00 for Re-mark, and R29.00 for Re-check.
The closing date for applications is 7 days after the release of the re-mark or re-check results. The fee for viewing is R220.00.
Online Applications for A Re-Mark or Re-Check of Matric Results
The process to apply for a re-mark or a recheck of the 2024 matric result is as follows;
- First, go to www.eservices.gov.za
- If not already registered, register using your ID and personal information, so enter the One Time Pin (OTP) to complete the registration
- Log in using the username you created when registering
- Select the e-Re-Mark / Re-Check service from the available services
- Use the received OTP to confirm access to the e-re-mark / Re-Check service
- Request a re-mark or re-check for the selected subject(s)
- Accept the declaration by confirming that the captured information is correct
- Receive communication of the status of the request via e-mail
- Receive/Print the Result letter.
IMPORTANT:
- Viewing of scripts may only be done after a re-mark or re-check of results.
- Results of remarking will be released on 14 March 2025
- Re-marked or re-checked results will be available at the school/exam centre where the candidate sat for their 2024 examinations.
