Transport Department Internships
Appointment Requirements:
- N6 / National Diploma / Degree in Finance or Management Assistant;
- Confirmation letter from institution;
- Computer literacy Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Ages between 18 – 35 years; and
- Only City of Jo burg residents will be considered.
Primary Function:
- Receiving and recording of invoice room different service providers.
- Distribution of invoices to Project Manager’s. Ensure invoices are processed and paid within 30 days of receipt in line with Municipal Finance Management Act.
- Liaise with service providers on a monthly basis to ensure invoices are submitted.
- Budget analysis to ensure project are implemented within the available budget.
- Record keeping for case of defence in case of disputes or queries.
Key Performance Areas:
- Interact with Transport Finance, Project Managers and Implementing Agents.
- Assist in the administration work for record keeping.
- Submit administrative documents for reporting and tracking of expenditure.

- Problem analysis and solving.

- Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Excellent Communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Organizing skills and attention to detail.
