The All Nations University College, ANUC admission requirement for all the courses at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate level has been released for the 2024/2025 academic session.

ANUC Admission Requirement
WAEC Examination Category
These are the standard nationally recognized examinations for academic progression into tertiary educational institutions in Ghana.
- Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE).
Grade D or better in three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics (Core), Integrated Science or Social Studies) and three (3) elective subject.
- West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
Grade C6 or better in three (3) core subjects (English Language, Mathematics (Core), Integrated Science ) and three (3) electives subjects.
- General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level
Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English, Mathematics and a Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject for Science students.
- Advance Business Certificate Examination (ABCE)
Passes in three (3) subjects (at least one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies in the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE).
Mature Students’ Entry
These are the standard nationally recognized examinations for academic progression into tertiary educational institutions in Ghana.
- Be at least 25 years old;
- Show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of birth date which is at least 5 years old at the time of application
- Provide introductory letter from employer or show any other proof of employment
- The mature applicant must also have relevant work experience and relevant education, and Passes in WASSCE / SSCE English and Mathematics, and/or equivalent academic qualifications. Equivalent education includes but is not limited to Teachers’ Certificates and short-term diplomas from accredited institutions. Mature students may also be required to pass an internal Mature Students’ Entrance Examination.
- Teachers’ Certificate holders must pass the mature student examination, and will be admitted into Level 100 if successful.
Foreign Qualifications
All foreign qualifications would be referred to the National Accreditation Board (NAB) for determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission to tertiary institutions in Ghana (National Accreditation Board Act, 2007 Act 744 (2(2b)).
HND: Applicants with Higher National Diploma or Equivalent:
- The HND must be in an area of study relevant to the proposed programme of study.
- Applicants with First (1st) Class must have at least 1 (one) year of relevant work experience. Successful applicants will be admitted to Level 300
- Applicants with Second (2nd) Class Honors (Upper or Lower Divisions), must have at least 1 (one) year of relevant work experience. Successful applicants will be admitted to Level 200.
- Applicants with Third (3rd) Class or lower must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Successful applicants will be admitted to Level 100.
Professional and Other Entry Qualifications
All professional certificates and any other qualifications beyond the ones specified above are referred to the National Accreditation Board for the establishment of their equivalences, to determine their eligibility for admission.
Specific Engineering Requirements – this applies to ALL Engineering programmes:
- Applicants for Engineering must have passes in Physics and Chemistry.
- For Biomedical Engineering, Biology may be accepted instead of Chemistry,
- Elective/Further Mathematics is needed for All Engineering programmes.
Specific Computer Science (Honours) Requirements:
Applicants for the Computer Science (Honours) programme must have at least a credit pass in Physics and Elective Mathematics.

Candidates on Transfer from an Accredited Tertiary Institution:
The University College defines a transfer student as one who has been a registered student in another accredited/registered College or University and made satisfactory progress over one or more academic years in the discipline in which they intend to transfer. A transfer applicant must submit all official transcripts from all institutions attended to the Office of Admissions.
Irrespective of the number of years spent in the previous University, a transfer student may be admitted into levels up to a maximum of Level 300. A transfer student must therefore spend a minimum of 2 calendar years at ANUC to be awarded the University College’s degree.
