Engineering Programmes
BSc Civil Engineering
Candidates applying to the programme must meet the following entry requirements:
WASSCE / SSSCE Candidates
Relevant credit passes shall include an Arts subject, plus three(3) relevant elective subjects
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Elective Mathematics
GCE ‘A’ LEVEL Holders
The three (3) A level subjects are Physics, Chemistry and Elective Mathematics
HND (Civil Engineering) Holders
Applicant must be a graduate in Civil Engineering
BSc Geomatic (Geodetic) Engineering
Candidates applying to the programme must meet the following entry requirements:
SSSCE Holders
Credit scores (aggregate D) or better in the following subjects: English Language, Integrated Science, Core Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Elective Mathematics.
WASSCE Holders
Credit scores (aggregate C6) or better in the following subjects: English Language, Integrated Science, Core Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Elective Mathematics.
Mature Applicants
Applicants in this category must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 25 years old at the time of submitting application
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in the intended field of study
- Must have credit scores in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Additional Mathematics or Elective Mathematics
- Must pass an entrance examination or an interview
GCE ‘A’ LEVEL Holders
Must have GCE ‘A’ LEVEL passes in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
HND (Surveying) Holders
HND graduates with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience will be placed at Level 200 of the programme. However, applicants with 1st Class or 2nd Class Upper Division certificate and two (2) years relevant experience may opt for top-up.
Top-up for HND Holders
Candidates who hold HND certificates (1st Class or 2nd Class- Upper Division) in Surveying and have a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience may be admitted to Level 300 as regular students, upon successful completion of one semester bridging course. Those work or business schedule cannot allow them to attend as regular students may opt for the non- regular student module. For such students, evening and/or weekend classes will be conducted at our Accra Lecture Halls.
BSc Construction Technology
Candidates applying to the programme must meet the following entry requirements:
SSSCE Holders
- Credit scores (aggregate D) or better in the following core subjects: English Language, Integrated Science, Mathematics and;
- Credit scores (aggregate D) or better in,
- Physics, Chemistry and Elective Mathematics; OR,
- Economics, Geography and Elective Mathematics; OR
- Technical Drawing, Building Construction and Elective Mathematics
WASSCE Holders
- Credit scores (aggregate C6) or better in English Language, Integrated Science, Core Mathematics; and,
- Credit scores (aggregate C6) or better in,
- Physics, Chemistry and Elective Mathematics; OR,

Construction Technician Certificate (CTC II/III)
Applicants in this category with a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience will be placed at Level 200 of the programme.
HND (Civil Engineering) Holders

Bsc. Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Candidates applying to the programme must meet the following entry requirements:
WASSCE/SSCE
Credit passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three(3) relevant elective subjects:

- Auto Mechanics
- Applied Electricity
- Technical Drawing
- Engineering Science
- Electronics
with a minimum of grade C6/D, aggregate 36 or 24 respectively.
HND Candidates
The applicant must have graduated with certificate in Electrical Engineering.
Bsc. Mechanical Engineering
Candidates applying to the programme must meet the following entry requirements:
WASSCE/SSSCE
Credit Passes(A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics plus three (3) relevant elective subjects:

- Metal Work
- Auto Mechanics
- Applied Electricity
- Technical Drawing
- Engineering Science
- Electronics
with a minimum of grade C6/D, aggregate 36 or 24 respectively.
HND Candidates
The applicant must have graduated with certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
Bridging Course
All applicants who hold HND Certificates, CTC I, II/III and have a minimum of two years relevant working experience may apply. Such applicants shall be placed on level 300 after successfully going through one semester Bridging program.
Business Administration Programmes
BSc Programmes
SSSCE Holders
Credit scores (aggregate D) or better at English Language, Integrated Science, Core Mathematics, and in any two (2) elective subjects.
WASSCE Holders
Credit scores (aggregate C6) or better at English Language, Integrated Science, Core Mathematics, and in any three (3) elective subjects.
Mature Applicants
Applicants in this category must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 25 years old at the time of submitting application;
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in the intended field of study; and
- Must pass an entrance examination or an interview.
Other (Mature) Candidates
Candidates with the following certificates will also be considered for KAAF BBA programmes:
ACCA Level 1; CA (Gh) Part 1; CIM Professional Certificate; CIPS Certificate; RSA Stage III (3 passes). Such candidates will be considered to register for Level 200 programme after an interview.
GCE ‘A’ LEVEL Holders
Must have GCE ‘A’ LEVEL passes in any three subjects.
Cert ‘A’ Holders (Post-sec)
Cert ‘A’ holders with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience will be placed at Level 200 of the programme.
DBS (Diploma in Business Studies) Holders
DBS graduates with a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience will be placed at Level 200 of the programme.
HND Holders
HND graduates with a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience will be offered entry requirements for Level 200. However, applicants with 1st Class or 2nd Class Upper Division certificate and two (2) years relevant experience may opt for top-up.
Law Programmes
4-yr LLB Programme
- WASSCE: Six (6) credit Passes (A1 – C6) including English, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies and any three (3) relevant Elective Subjects.
- SSSCE: Six (6) credit passes (A – D) including English, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies and any three (3) relevant elective subjects.
- GCBE (New Syllabus) candidates with six credit passes (A1 – C6) including English, Mathematics and Integrated Science/Social Studies/
- GCE ‘A’ Level with three (3) passes, at least one of the passes should be Grade D or better plus five(5) credit passes at GCE ‘O’ Level.
- HND holder with a Second Class Lower division or better. In addition, candidates must have acquired a 2 years post HND qualification working experience.
- Mature candidates must be at least 25 years old at the time of application and must have relevant working experience and background. Applicants must pass an entrance examination.
3-yr LLB Programme
Interested applicants must have been awarded a good first degree from a recognized University or must have a professional qualification from a recognized professional body. In addition, applicants would be required to pass an entrance examination and an interview.
