The Programme aims to promote the occupational prospects of young Africans through the support of innovative skills’ development programmes and partnerships and a close cooperation with the private sector as an integral and key stakeholder in the creation of jobs.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in political science, international relations, education and training or related field
- Knowledge of the institutions AUC, AUDA-NEPAD, GIZ and World Skills
- Experience in supporting multi-stakeholder coordination platforms including online/virtual facilitation skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; proven track record of drafting and editing complex reports and communication materials is required
- Basic experience in data management and analysis
- Fluency in English is a prerequisite, and the ability to communicate in French will be a distinct advantage. Proficiency in other AU working languages is an added advantage
- Experience in meeting management and secretarial duties
- Ability to quickly understand instructions, ask for clarification when needed, adapt and work independently to produce results on time
- Ability/motivation to work in a multicultural work environment
- Good knowledge of standard MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
