How to Enrol at the University of the Free State
Activate your UFS student account with the student number and password you received after being admitted.
The Self-service registration could be done in two ways;
UFS Student Homepage
- Navigate to UFS Self Service page: https://selfservice.ufs.ac.za/
- Enter your username and Password and sign in.
- Select the relevant semester and click “Continue.”
- Use “Add or Drop Modules” to select your desired courses.
- Submit your selections and verify on your Proof of Registration.
UFS Oracle PeopleSoft system
- Go to – https://pssa.ufs.ac.za/psp/csprd/?&cmd=login&languageCd=ENG&.
- Log in to the Oracle PeopleSoft system using your student number and password.
- Click on “My Education Plan” and then the “Enrolment Tab.”
- Select “Add/Change Courses” and choose the courses you want to add or remove.
- Update your planner, validate it, and build your schedule.
- Enroll and verify your selections on your Proof of Registration.
IMPORTANT:
Your official UFS email address (studentnumber@ufs4life.ac.za) should be monitored on a regular basis. This email address serves as the official electronic communication channel between the University and the student.

Be patient while UFS processes your registration. If you see that your registration will not be processed by the closing date for registrations, you can call the student helpdesk at the ICT Services Department at +27 51 401 9111(press 4).
