The IEB is an Independent South African examination agency for setting exams for the majority of private schools in the country. The body is accredited by Umalusi for school and adult assessments.
Learners belonging to the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) have the chance to rewrite their matric examinations.
IEB Examination Schedule Dates
Matric rewrites will take place at the following times.
EXAMINATION PERIOD:
The matric rewrite for the 2024 November exams of will be scheduled for 8 to 26 May 2024.
APPLICATION CLOSES:
Entry for the May examinations will close on 15 March 2024.
RESULT RELEASE DAY:
Umalusi has yet to confirm the date, but learners can anticipate the release of the May examination results on July 20, 2024.
REMARK DEADLINE:
The May examinations are eligible for remarking, but the closing date for remarks is 28 July 2024.
REMARK RESULT RELEASE DAY:
Results for remarked examinations will be released on August 16, 2024.
Candidates who apply to rewrite their matric examinations will be informed if there are any changes to the dates released by the IEB.
