ISFAP Stands for the Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme, it is a bursary scheme that provides funding opportunities to first-year undergraduate students, but it does not guarantee to fund all applicants.
The funding provided by ISFAP is made available through the contributions of various donors in the public and private sectors.

Criteria for ISFAP Application
To be eligible for the ISFAP bursary, applicants typically need to meet the following criteria:
Applicants must be South African citizens and must be in Financial Need. This is because the ISFAP bursary targets students from poor and working-class families, with a household income threshold set at R600,000 per annum.
Applicants must have a strong academic record and meet the entry requirements for their chosen field of study. ISFAP prioritises fields that are critical to the national economy, such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degrees.
ISFAP Online Application
An online application form must be completed in full and the requisite supporting documentation provided/uploaded by qualifying students. Applications without the supporting documents uploaded will not be considered.
The applications will be added to a database that will be used to pair qualifying students that match donor/ISFAP criteria. ISFAP will keep applicants informed of the status of their application.

Successful applicants will receive a funding package that includes Tuition, Accommodation, Study Material, Monthly Stipend and Meals as Well as Student Support and An On-Campus ISFAP Programme Manager.

ISFAP Application Deadline
Students interested in applying for ISFAP funding will have around five months to apply.
The ISFAP bursary applications are set to close in October 2024, however, there is a limited number of bursaries available which means students must apply as soon as possible.
