Master of Management (MM)
MM is a flexible, distance learning postgraduate programme designed for professionals aiming to deepen their expertise in management and leadership. It is accredited at NQF Level 9 with 180 credits and typically takes a minimum of two years to complete.
Students can choose between two pathways:
OPTION 1: FULL RESEARCH DISSERTATION
- Complete a comprehensive research dissertation.
- Requires a mini-proposal upon application.
- Includes a compulsory one-day induction session.
- Ideal for those with strong research backgrounds.
OPTION 2: COURSEWORK & SHORT DISSERTATION
- Complete six compulsory research modules:
- Business Intelligence
- Customer Relationship Management
- Strategic Leadership
- Strategic Process Management
- Risk Management
- Talent Management
- Followed by a short dissertation based on one of the module topics.
- Suitable for professionals seeking a blend of coursework and research.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A relevant postgraduate diploma or a Bachelor Honours degree in a cognate field.
- For Option 1: Minimum 65% in research.
- For Option 2: Minimum 55% in research.
- At least three years of managerial work experience.
- Proficiency in English.
- Computer literacy and access to the internet and a personal computer.
- Prior experience in academic research.
NOTE: Applicants lacking a Research Methodology module at NQF Level 8 may need to complete a bridging module.
