UniVen Application Requirements
Things to note before using the online application for the University of Venda:
- You’ll need an email address to complete the application.
- Have you calculated your APS? You’ll need to do this before you apply.
- Once you complete an online application you may not send a hardcopy application.
- Make sure you complete the application in full (so that there’s no delay from UniVen).
- Getting a UniVen student number does not mean you have been accepted.

How to Apply UniVen Online
The University of Venda Application 2025 application is ongoing, and the step-by-step guide on applying through the UniVen online application portal is available below.
- Go to the UniVen website: https://www.univen.ac.za/students/student-support-services/how-to-apply/apply-online/
- Click on “Apply” at the top right corner of the page.
- Click on “New Applicant” and fill in the required information, including your name, email address, and password.
- Choose your program, select “Undergraduate” or “Postgraduate” depending on your application type.
- Then, under “Faculty/School,” choose “Management, Commerce and Law” and under “Programme,” select “Bachelor of Laws (LLB).”
- Fill in all the required sections of the application form, including your personal information, contact details, academic qualifications, and work experience (if applicable).
- Scan and upload certified copies of the following documents:
- Matric certificate and transcripts
- Birth certificate or ID document
- Proof of SA citizenship status (if applicable)
- Recent CV (optional)
- The current application fee for South African applicants is R200. You can pay online using a credit or debit card.
- Once you have reviewed and completed the application form, click on the “Submit” button.
- Note: You will receive a confirmation email and reference number. Keep these for future reference.
- You can track the status of your application online through the portal. Simply log in and click on “My Applications.”
IMPORTANT:
- Apply early! Applications are competitive, so submit your application as soon as possible.
- Meet all the required documents and application deadlines.
- Proofread your application carefully before submitting it.
