UWC Grade 12 Metric Applications for 2022


The University of the Western Cape, UWC Grade 12 Matric Applications for 2022 session is ongoing. Admissions information for the forthcoming year is detailed below.

UWC Grade 12 Opening and The Closing Date for Applications for 2022

University of the Western Cape application opens 15 May 2021 and the closing dates are as follows;

UWC Grade 12 Applications Requirements

  • Current grade 12 learners should apply with their final grade 11 results or their June 2021 exam results.
  • No documents should be submitted at this stage. All the necessary information should be included in the online application form.

UWC Post-Matrics Applications Requirements

Note: post-matrics are those who have already completed matric and who already have their NSC results.

Post-Matrics Should Submit the Following Documents:

  • Certified copy of NSC Certificate or Senior Certificate
  • Certified copy of Identification Document
  • If applicable, proof of any studies with academic records you may have completed
  • If applicable, proof that you are currently improving your NSC results
  • An affidavit describing, in brief, your activities after your matric year

UWC Online Application for Admission 2022

All applications must be completed online and required supporting documents submitted by the closing dates above.

Applicants must have a valid email address in order to apply online. All communication from the University in regards to your application will be sent via email. Should you not have a valid email address you can create an email account using Gmail, Yahoo Mail, or any other email provider you may prefer.

If you are a person with a disability, please ensure that you have completed that section fully in the online form to allow us to make contact with you regarding your support needs.

Applications will only be considered complete once all required documents have been submitted (no emailed documents will be accepted).

Competition for space is great and applicants are reminded to apply to more than one tertiary institution.

Please also note that there is no separate application form for accommodation, if you responded YES on the question for UWC accommodation, you have applied.
