Vaal University of Technology Fees 2024
Students must take note of the increased fees and International Students note that they will be paying 100% Upfront including Residences
VUT Undergraduate Fees
- For South African students, undergraduate tuition fees can range from R20,000 to R80,000 per year, depending on the program and university.
- International students can expect to pay significantly more, with fees ranging from R50,000 to R150,000 per year.
VUT Postgraduate Fees
Postgraduate tuition fees are generally higher than undergraduate fees.
For South African students;
- Master’s programs can cost between R30,000 and R100,000 per year,
- Doctoral programs can cost up to R200,000 per year.
For International students; Expect to pay even more, with fees for
- Master’s programs range from R80,000 to R200,000 per year and doctoral programs cost up to R300,000 per year.
VUT Estimated Costs per Course
The estimated amount payable by students registered for the normal academic load on a full-time basis.
NOTE: The actual fees raised will vary depending on the specific modules taken as per the statement of account.
VUT Sundry Services
- Application fee (SA Citizen) – N R 110.00
- Late application fee – R 150.00
- Re-write and supplementary exams (per subject) – R 140.00
- Re-mark per subject (refundable if the pass mark is obtained and the fee account is zero) – R 140.00
- Diploma absentia fee – R 140.00
- Academic record – R 50.00
- Subject exemption certificate – R 70.00
- Proof of registration’ – R 50.00
- Student access card – R 100.00
- Receipt of payment – R 20.00
- Statement of account – R 30.00
International Citizens:
- Application fee – R 120.00
- Surcharge payable – NR 1600.00
VUT Academic Registration
National Students (Non-Residence)
- Annual Students – R 2 200.00
- Semester Students R 2 200.00
- International Students – N100%(Annual/Semester)
Vaal University of Technology Residence Registration
The first residential registration minimum payment is as follows;
National Students
- Annual Students – R 2 200.00
- Semester Students – R 2 200.00
- International Students – 100%(annual/semester)
VUT Masters and Doctorate Student
- First Minimum Payment – R2200.00 (non-Funded students), R 410.00 (Funded students)
NON-REFUNDABLE REGISTRATION LEVIES (Charged on registration yearly)
- Access Cards – R270.00
- Registration levy – R530.00
- Student levy – R330.00
- Funeral levy – R 40.00
- Sports & Cultural levy – R350.00
- Residence social levy – R330.00
- Health Care Levy – R100.0
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS A surcharge/International levy is applicable as follows R1600.00
