Job Description
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Electrical Supervisor, your role will involve the safe application of preventative and prognostic maintenance on BHP fixed plant and site infrastructure, this includes breakdown, shutdown support and modular-type works within the electrical teams.
These roles will be working on a residential roster, your duties will include:
- Contributing to our safety and continuous improvement culture, BHP Operating Systems (BOS), by being proactive and demonstrating a commitment to high standards of execution within your trade
- Maintain a high-level working knowledge of safety processes
- Inspection, servicing, adjustment, troubleshooting and repair of all plant and infrastructure equipment.
- Have a sound understanding of maintenance management principles,
- Work effectively with other maintenance and production team members, including contractors.
- Proficiency with computer-based planning systems, ideally 1SAP & Fiori
- Ensure that all documentation and data entry are accurately completed
- Ensure adequate application of corrective work to facilitate the Planning Process.
- Monitoring of asset integrity and compliance with statutory maintenance & inspection requirements
- Strong commitment to the field leadership program and the coaching of field leadership activities
Requirement
To be suitable for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Australia recognized trade qualification – A grade Electrical License
- Current Australian C class manual driver’s licence
- Well-developed understanding of the operation and maintenance of Fixed Plant equipment
- Overriding commitment to BHP Charter, health, safety, environment, and sustainable development.
- Experience working in Iron Ore Processing Plant is highly desirable
- Forklift Licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space, High Voltage switching and EWP tickets an advantages.
- Demonstrated experience working in a diverse team environment
- Ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes
- A motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision
- Be dedicated to Continuous Improvements
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a desire to develop and learn
