ANSWER:
Registration Period: Opened on October 1, 2024, and closes on February 7, 2025.
Eligibility: Adult candidates aged 18 and older who have at least a Grade 9 qualification or an Adult Education and Training Level 4 qualification, and who have not yet met the requirements for a Senior Certificate or wish to improve their previous SC results.
Registration Process: Candidates can register online via the e-Government portal: https://www.eservices.gov.za/tonkana/category/education.xhtml.
Alternatively, manual registration forms are available for download on the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) website (https://wcedonline.westerncape.gov.za/second-chance-matric-programme?utm_source=chatgpt.com).
National Senior Certificate (NSC) Examinations
Registration Period: Opens on January 14, 2025, and closes on February 7, 2025.
Eligibility: Candidates who wrote the NSC exam in previous sittings from 2008 to 2024 and wish to rewrite any subjects to improve their overall results.
Registration Process: Candidates must register manually by downloading the registration form from the WCED website.

It’s important to note that attending the Second Chance Matric Support Programme does not automatically register you for the examinations; you must complete the registration process separately.
