What Level of Study Are You Applying For?

• Undergraduate (Bachelor’s degree)
• Postgraduate (Honours, Master’s, PhD)

Follow the steps below to apply online to Wits University;

• go to https://www.wits.ac.za/applications/
• If you’re a new user, click “Create Temporary ID” and follow the instructions. Existing users can log in with their credentials.
• You’ll receive an email with a link to your application after creating an account or logging in.
• Fill out the application form by providing accurate information as it appears on your official ID documents.
• Upload required documents like your ID, academic records, and any additional documents specific to your program.
• Once you’ve completed all sections and uploaded documents, submit your application.
• Wits will confirm receipt via email and provide a reference person for inquiries.

NOTE:

• The application allows you to save and return later, so you don’t have to complete it in one sitting.
• You can apply for up to three programs, but the order of preference doesn’t matter.
• Be mindful if applying to programs within the same faculty. Consider applying to one in a different faculty to keep options open.
• There’s a R200 application fee, except for current Wits students applying online.
