I have been admitted for Bachelor of Arts, is it possible for me to change the course to long distance?

    • Yes, it is possible to request a change in your mode of study (from on-campus to long-distance learning) at Walter Sisulu University (WSU), but it depends on several factors, such as:

      1. Course Availability for Long-Distance Learning:
Not all programs at WSU are available for long-distance learning. You’ll need to confirm if the specific Bachelor of Arts program you’re admitted to is offered in a distance learning format.

      2. Timing of Your Request:
Universities usually allow students to make changes before the academic year starts or during a specified registration period. Ensure you make the request as soon as possible.

      3. Approval Process:
You will need to formally request the change through the university’s admissions office or your faculty. This may involve:
      – Submitting a written request.
      – Meeting any specific requirements for distance learning (e.g., access to online learning platforms, internet, etc.).
      – Receiving approval from the faculty.

STEPS TO CHANGE TO LONG-DISTANCE LEARNING:

      1. Contact the Admissions Office or Faculty:
      – Call or email the admissions office or the faculty where the Bachelor of Arts program is hosted.
      – Ask if the program is available for long-distance learning and if they accept changes.

      2. Submit a Formal Request:
If distance learning is available, submit a formal written request. Include:
      – Your student number and full name.
      – Your current program details.
      – A clear explanation of why you wish to change to long-distance learning.

      3. Complete Required Processes:
Follow any additional processes they outline, such as re-registering or signing agreements for distance learning.
