University of Johannesburg (UJ) uLink Portal Creation
Welcome to the uLink user creation page. You can obtain a username and password if:
- You are already academically registered for the current or previous academic year; or
- You are planning to register academically via uLink (new students) – provided the registration cycle is currently active.
Step 1:
Navigate to https://ulink.uj.ac.za/views/create/Create1
Step 2:
A place will be provided for you to enter your student number
Step 3:
Then, enter your ID/Passport number
Step 4:
Click on ‘continue’.
Step 5:
To create your RefWorks account:
Step 1:
First time users go to https://refworks.proquest.com/
Step 2:
Fill in your information making sure to use your institutional email address (you can’t sign up with @yahoo.com, @gmail.com, etc.).
Step 3:
- Create a password and activate your RefWorks account.
- Go to your UJ email account (UJ Students E-mail; UJ Student Portal; UJ Staff e-mail) and click on the link provided by RefWorks
Step 4:
Once you activate your account (you’ll receive an email with a link to complete the registration process), you’ll get access immediately and can get started managing your documents.
