Overall Purpose of Role:
Working as part of the Scope Markets Finance team in Nairobi, to maintain the accounting records of the organization and related reports. Working closely with other departments and key management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties provided below are general guidelines for the job description.
The executive could be asked from time to time to do work outside of those listed below but will still be relevant to the position.
- Giving daily and weekly updates aimed at improving financial records.
- Updating and maintaining accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.
- Reconciliation of banks, PSP transactions and client liabilities and any other reconciliation required.
- Monitor and update records timeously for reporting of the global cash position and forecasts.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all financial transactions.
- Assisting in preparation of timely and accurate financial management records to enable corporate dashboards consolidating key figures across the organization.
- Assisting with month end and year-end closings.
- Assisting with preparation and coordination of the audit process.
- Assisting with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
- Carry out variance analysis and monitor the budget for all functions.

Educational/ Experience Requirements

- Great knowledge of Excel and Excel functions.
- Experience in Statutory report preparation and Filing
