The Kiriri Women’s University of Science And Technology, KWUST Students applying to Undergraduates, Postgraduate, Diploma, Masters programs, etc must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for admission.

Certificate Entry Requirements
- Minimum Entry Requirements:
- KSCE Mean Grade of D+ (Plus), C- (minus) OR equivalent
Diploma Entry Requirements
- Minimum Entry Requirements:
- KSCE Mean Grade of C (Plain) OR equivalent
Degree Entry Requirements
- Minimum Entry Requirements:
- An aggregate KCSE grade of C+ (PLUS) or a relevant Diploma from a recognized Institution
- IGCSE 5 Upper Level passes
- GCE 5 ‘O’ level passes with C and above or principal C at A level
- 12th Grade GPA of 2.5
Specific Kwust Entry Requirements of Each Course
BSC Mathematics
To be eligible for the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree, a candidate must;
- Have obtained a minimum mean grade of C+ (C Plus) in KCSE. In addition, she must have passed with a grade C (C Plain) in Mathematics and English;
- Have a minimum of two principal passes one of which must be Mathematics at Advanced Level Certificate from a recognized institution;
- Have a diploma in relevant subjects with at least a credit pass from an institution recognized by the university;
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 after undertaking a Pre-University program from a recognized institution;
- Have any relevant qualifications equivalent to the above four. A student who has met the university entry requirement but has not met the minimal departmental requirement of a grade C (C Plain) in Mathematics and English will be required to undertake a one-semester bridging course in the relevant subject.
- Have obtained a minimum mean grade of C+ (C Plus) in KCSE. Further, the candidate must have passed with a minimum grade of C (C Plain) in Mathematics and English;
- Applicant must have covered Physics or Physical Science in Secondary School;
- A minimum of two Principal Passes one of which must be Mathematics at Advanced Level Certificate from a recognized institution;
- Have a diploma in relevant subjects with at least a credit pass from an institution recognized by the university;
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 after undertaking a Pre-University program from a recognized institution;
- Have any relevant qualifications equivalent to the above.
BSc Business Administration
To be admitted to the Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, a candidate must:
- Have obtained a minimum mean grade of C+ (C Plus) in KCSE. In addition, the candidate must have passed with a minimum grade of C (C Plain) in Mathematics and English;
- Have a diploma in relevant subjects with at least a credit pass from an institution recognized by the university;
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 after undertaking a Pre-University program from a recognized institution;
- Have any relevant qualifications equivalent to the above.
Diploma in ICT
To be eligible for a diploma in ICT a candidate must have
- KCSE mean grade C- (C Minus);
- C- (C Minus) in Mathematics, English/Kiswahili;
- Students who have done a certificate course in a computer/telecommunications engineering related field will be considered for admission after review of their transcripts;
- ‘A’ level leavers in any Science cluster subjects; mid-career practitioners;
- Considerable work experience in Information Technology or Telecommunications industry will be considered.
Diploma in Business Administration
To be eligible for the Diploma in Business Administration, a candidate must;
- Have obtained a minimum mean grade of C- (C Minus) in KCSE, or
- Have KCE Division II, or
- Have a certificate in Business Administration from a reputable and recognized institution with a credit level pass
- Applicants wishing to obtain specialized knowledge and skills in Business Administration must have a degree
