The good news is that the late application window for CPUT is currently open! However, it’s important to note that late applications are only available to:
- Returning CPUT student: If you’re a past CPUT student who wants to rejoin or finish a phasing-out program, late applications are accepted during a short window from January 15th to 19th, 2024.
- New applicant: Unfortunately, as of today, January 16th, 2024, late applications for regular undergraduate and postgraduate programs are not open to new applicants. However, exceptions exist for:
- Full Research Master’s and Doctoral Studies: These programs still accept applications until March 15th, 2024, open to both returning and new students.

How to Apply for CPUT Late Applications
Applications must be submitted online and no application fee is charged. Only certain non-degree programmes identified within the Faculty of Health & Wellness Science must be completed manually.
STEP 1: Check the Available Programs
- Visit the CPUT website: https://www.cput.ac.za/study/apply
- Click on “Study at CPUT” and then “Late Applications.”
- A list of programs accepting late applications will be displayed. Make sure your desired program is on the list.
STEP 2: Gather Your Documents
You’ll need to submit certified copies of the following documents (check the website for any specific program requirements):
- Academic transcripts
- Matric certificate
- Identity document (ID) or passport
- Any other requested documents
STEP 3: Submit your online application
- Go to the CPUT online application portal: https://www.cput.ac.za/study/apply/step-4-online-application
- Create an account or log in if you already have one.
- Select the “Late Application” option.
- Choose your program and complete the application form.
- Upload your supporting documents.
- Pay the application fee.
