How to Register for Admission at University of Ghana – Freshers Information 2024/2025

Before starting registration at the University of Ghana (UG), participants must have applied for admission and had received their admission letter.

They Are core points to note before proceeding to registration, and there are;

1. You must pay the required minimum fee before you can register. The required minimum for the 2024/2025 academic year is 50% of the academic fee, details of which can be found in the Schedule of Fees.

2. You will need your UG Student ID Number and UG 5-digit PIN for Online Registration. If you do not have them, please refer to your provisional admission letter.

3. You will also need to activate your UG assigned email account (the email address and initial default password are in your provisional admission letter). You activate the email account by logging in and changing the password to your preferred one.

How to Register Online at the University of Ghana

Once the above requirements have been met, follow the steps below to register for the academic programme offered.

Note that you will be required to undertake your actual course registration after Orientation (Look out for dates and venue for Freshmen Orientation).

Step 1

Online registration is through the MIS Web. Click here to access the MIS Web.

Step 2

Then click on “Registration” under the Student iEnabler (on the left side of the screen).

Step 3

Click on “Submit Registration”.

Step 4

Then click on the “blue letters” under “Qualification Code” and select “Register for This Qualification

Step 5

Click on “Save and Continue” and (for undergraduate freshmen) register for GCCR101-General Course Confirming Registration by clicking on the small box close to GCCR101.

Step 6

Click on “Save and Continue” to view the course you have selected.

Step 7

Then click on “Continue” to view the Registration Cost (Academic Facility User Fee).

Step 8

Click on “Accept Registration” to complete registration.

Step 9

Click on “Printer Friendly Format” and print proof of registration.

Step 10

Click on LOG-OUT to EXIT the system.

Registration Deadlines

A student who fails to register during the registration period specified shall forfeit his/her right to register for the semester.
