  • You must be a South African citizen or permanent resident.
  • You must have proof of acceptance or registration at a recognized tertiary institution.
  • A parent, guardian, or sponsor must act as the principal debtor (for most loans).
  • You or your sponsor must meet the minimum income requirements for loan approval.
