How to Change/Reset UL Student Portal Login Password
Here’s a guide on how to do it:
Option 1: If You Remember Your Username:
- Go to the Forgot Password page: http://ulspace.ul.ac.za/password-login
- Enter the email address you used when registering with ULSpace. This should be the same email address associated with your student account.
- Click “Verify Email.”
- You will receive an email with further instructions and a link to reset your password.
- Click the link in the email and follow the prompts to set a new password.
Option 2: If You Don’t Remember Your Username:
- Go to the Forgot Password page: http://ulspace.ul.ac.za/password-login
- Click on “Forgot Username?” under the email field.
- Enter your student ID number and date of birth in DDMMYY format (e.g., 080598 for May 8, 1998).
- Click “Go.”
- You will receive a message with your username sent to your student email address.
- Once you have your username, follow the steps from Option 1 above to reset your password.
IMPORTANT:
- Make sure you’re using a trusted and secure internet connection when resetting your password.
- Choose a strong, unique password that you don’t use for any other accounts.
- Consider enabling two-factor authentication for added security.

Login to your old email, and get the password, else the computer doesn’t understand the new password except it was updated.
