How to Cancel TUT Subject

Previously, Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) required applicants who wanted to cancel a subject to complete and submit a “Subjects Add Cancel Form” to their faculty office. Now cancelling a TUT subject typically involves using the university’s online student portal.

Steps On How to Cancel TUT Subject

  • Go to the Tshwane University of Technology Student Self-Service page:
  • Log in using your student number and PIN.
  • Once logged in, look for a section related to “Registration,” “Course Management,” or similar terms. The exact menu name might vary.
  • Within the registration or course management section, look for options related to “adding/dropping courses,” “changing registration,” or “subject cancellation.”
  • Follow the prompts to select the TUT subject you want to cancel.
  • Confirm the cancellation by following the on-screen instructions.

Pay close attention to deadlines for cancelling subjects. Cancelling after the deadline might not be possible and could have academic or financial implications.
