The Maasai Mara University, MMU Students applying to Undergraduates, Postgraduate, Diploma, Masters programs, etc must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for admission.

Entry requirements for Undergraduate Courses
Applicants admitted into programmes offered at Maasai Mara University must meet the following general minimum entry requirements in addition to specific subject requirements for each programme. Certificate Programmes
- Minimum mean grade of a D+ at KCSE or equivalent
Diploma Programmes
- 1-year Diploma programmes require a minimum mean grade of C plain at KCSE
- 2-year Diploma programmes require a minimum mean grade of C- (minus) at KCSE
- 3-year Diploma programmes (Diploma in Primary Education /Diploma in Secondary Education) require a minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE
- In addition, applicants must meet the specific subject requirements for each programme
Undergraduate Programmes
- Minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE OR
- 2 principals and 1 subsidiary pass at “A” level OR
- A Diploma in a relevant field of study from a recognized institution.
- In addition, applicants must meet the specific subject requirements for each programme
Maasai Mara University Postgraduate Admission Requirement
Entry requirements for a Postgraduate degree Programme
- A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited University in a subject or subjects relevant to the course applied for.
Duration of Programme
- 1 Academic Year
Entry requirements for a Masters Degree Programme
- Bachelors Degree, Second Class (Upper Division) in a relevant field of study or its equivalent from a recognized University OR
- Bachelors Degree, Second class Honors (Lower Division), with at least two years post qualification work experience OR
- Bachelors Degree with a Pass and a Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field of study.
Entry requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy Programme
- Masters degree in a relevant field of study, from a recognized University.
